KARACHI, April 24: Six ships carrying containers and to load fish and ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where 11 vessels were berthed to unload and load general cargoes, including rice, and to offload sugar. They are: Yellow Knife, to load rice, Man Pung, to offload sugar, Ivory Ace, to unload vehicles, Troyburg, Corin Thaikios, Global Prosperity, to unload and load containers, Marine Blue, Wise King, to offload and load general cargoes, Stolt Alliance, to offload chemicals, Olympic-1 and MRC Sedef, to load molasses.

Sailing was also active as 10 ships departed after unloading and loading export consignments. Conti Esperance, Iran Shahryar, Thor Captain, Nippha Naree, Marine Blue, Al-Marwah, Stolt Alliance, Mearsk Alabama, Kardaran Star, and Troyburg were leading among them.

Ivory Ace, MRC Sedef, Global Prosperity, Wise King, Iran Tajhti, Ever Guard and Olypic-1 are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.115m tons comprising 49,639 tons of export cargo, including 12,426 tons of rice and 65,037 tons of import tonnage, which also included 8,049 tons of sugar.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Ryoma, to load 400 tons of fish, Andino Park, to load ethanol, APL Pusan, Orient Independence, PAC Antila and E0S-1, to unload and load containers.
