Pakistan win

ISLAMABAD, April 22: A brace by Mohammad Adil and a Faisal Iqbal strike helped Pakistan notch up a 3-0 victory against Bhutan on Saturday in the AFC Under-14 Festival of Football at the Jinnah Stadium.

Pakistan A, the other home team in the Format-I competition which comprises matches of 30 minutes duration, also defeated Bhutan 1-0.

Beginning the day with a game against Bangladesh, Pakistan went down 0-1, Shohel putting in the lone goal. Also facing defeat were Pakistan A, beaten 2-0 while Bangladesh played a goalless draw with Sri Lanka.

Nepal were in impressive form and won all their three matches, thrashing Bhutan 3-0, downing Sri Lanka 2-0 and edging past Pakistan 1-0.

Another nine matches are to be played on Sunday.
