KARACHI, April 22: Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has picked a three-member team for the upcoming Asia Oceania Juniors Davis Cup being held at Kuching Sarawah, Malaysia, from May 1.

The team was selected after trials held at Islamabad recently.

Twenty-two teams representing the region are to participate in the contest.

Top four teams will qualify for the world group that will take place at Barcelona in September.

The team consists of Nasir Mushtaq (Karachi), Khurram Nazir and Ahmed Aslam (Lahore).

Nasir is the reigning Pakistan No 1 in U-16 category and has proved his mettle.

He had dominated the Sindh ranking circuit last year.

In addition, he had also featured in ITF juniors’ circuit held at UAE in 2005.
