SANGHAR, April 22: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim said on Saturday the nagging problem of water shortage in the province was due to natural causes and it would be resolved the moment snow started melting in the mountains.

The chief minister told newsmen in Shahdadpur when they asked if the government’s coalition partners were involved in the Nishtar Park tragedy, that nothing could be said at that stage and the picture would get clearer after the investigation was completed.

He said better ask Mr Kamal Shah himself when newsmen referred to the federal interior secretary’s statement that the investigation had been narrowed down to only two parties. Mr Arbab, who was accompanied by his advisers, Imamdin Shaukeen and Jadim Mangrio and District Nazim Haji Khuda Bux Rajar, announced Rs20 million for the taluka hospital and its upgradation to the status of an institute. He also announced Rs500,000 each for taluka hospitals.

The chief minister earlier visited Chiragh Din Hingoro’s residence in the Kamil Hingoro village near Khipro to offer his condolences on the death of his brother, MPA Anwar Adil Hingoro.

He also paid a visit to the residence of Sarfaraz Qaimkhani, a senior journalist who had died a couple of days ago, and offered said fateha for the departed soul.

He then left for Tando Adam to inaugurate a railway underpass at Jatiapara.
