23 held in Miramshah

MIRAMSHAH, April 21: The political administration here on Friday detained 31 tribesmen from different areas under the collective responsibility law of the Frontier Crimes Regulation.

The administration also directed tribal elders to hand over people who were targeting security forces’ installations in their areas.

Officials and residents of the areas said the tribesmen were held in Sarobi, Spalga, Darpakhel, Tappi and Naurak areas. The forces’ installations in these areas frequently come under attacks by militants.

The administration warned the tribal elders that strict action would be taken if the people involved in the attacks on security forces were not handed over to the government.
