SIALKOT, April 19: The provincial health department inspection teams from Islamabad and Lahore on Wednesday continued probe in the bird flu scare which was in the air when 12 members of a family fell unconscious immediately after consuming a chicken dish in Pasrur. The patients regained consciousness after emergency treatment.

Twelve people, seven of them women, were hospitalised after they fell unconscious at their home at Khanour-Sabzpeer village.

According to sources, the federal health department’s teams talked to the affected women and their heirs at the hospital.

The condition of seven people was stated to be critical at the District Headquarters Hospital till last reports came in.
