KARACHI, April 19: Four ships with containers, furnace oil and fertiliser were berthed at QICT, Fotco Terminal and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, two more container ships also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 67 per cent as seven ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, fertiliser, diesel oil and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 88,240 tons comprising 65,128 tons of import and 23,112 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Sealand Freedom, Nedlloyd Muscat and Torm Estrid left the port while Gallant Wave was due to depart.

Three ships, Al-Manakh, Xiang Wan and Taiking were due to arrive, while Maya was expected to reach on Thursday.
