‘India to go ahead with gas pipeline project’


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, April 18: Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed on Tuesday said India would go ahead with the Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project.

Preliminary discussions on launching the project had been held, he said while participating in the Janavidhi-2006 programme here.

“India and Iran enjoy traditionally friendly relations... We intend to further strengthen and expand our multi-faceted ties,” he said.—PPI
