Sajid excels

ISLAMABAD, April 18: Islamabad Greeners defeated Essco by six wickets on the second day of the ICA Margalla Festival Cricket Championship at the Marghazar Ground on Tuesday.

Sajid Mahmood top scored with an unbeaten 40 as Greeners were home in the 17th over chasing Essco's 114.

In their chase, Greeners lost four wickets, two of which were snapped up by Essco's Hammad Abbasi and as many by Nauman Nazir.

Earlier Haider Shah who claimed four wickets for 18 runs in a fine spell restricted Essco for whom Syed Zeeshan was the lead scorer.

Irfan Haider and Sajid Mahmood also bowled well and shared four wickets.

On Wednesday, National Club will take on Lucky Star.
