WASHINGTON, April 18: President George W. Bush on Tuesday nominated deputy US Trade Representative Susan Schwab to step up to the top job and take on the daunting task of steering WTO talks to success.
Schwab, 51, would succeed Rob Portman as the USTR. Bush nominated Portman to become his new budget chief in place of Josh Bolten, who last month was appointed the new White House chief of staff.—AFP
