Shahbaz and Fayyaz shine

LAHORE, April 17: An unbeaten fine century by Mohammad Fayyaz 148 and Mohammad Shahbaz 96 helped Pakistan Punjab blind team to take 2-0 lead in five-match series against their Indian counterpart, winning the second match by 10 wickets at the LCCA Ground on Monday.

Fayyaz hit 31 boundaries off 60 balls while Shahbaz slammed 15 fours in a 36-ball knock as the home team overhauled the mounting target of 303, scoring 306 without any loss in just 14.3 overs.

The visitors' innings was boosted by a fine undefeated century by Manwindher Singh, who scored 142 off 105 balls with the aid of 15 fours to help his side amassed 302-5 in 40 overs. Rajindher Singh with 59 was the other main scorer. He hit six fours.

PUNJAB (India): 302-5, 40 overs (Manvindher Singh 142 not out, Rajindher Singh 59).

PUNJAB (Pak): 306 no loss, 14.3 overs (Mohammad Fayyaz 148 not out, Mohammad Shahbaz 96 not out).
