Bankers on top despite Ghulam Ali century

LAHORE, April 17: Devastating bowling by paceman Wasim Khan and Mohammad Sami helped National Bank bowl out PIA for a first-innings total of 242 on the first day of Pentangular Cup match at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Wasim finished with five for 67 while Sami captured three for 52 as PIA, despite a defiant century by Ghulam Ali.

Ghulam Ali laboured for 370 minutes and was last man out for 256-ball 124 but he did not get any support from the other end. The veteran opener hit 16 boundaries.
