KARACHI, April 17: Six ships carrying palm oil, tallow and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where a dozen vessels were berthed. They are: Iran Takhti, to load rice, Eastern Princess, Zhen-Hua-7, Patria, to unload and load general cargo, Swat, Fotini Lady, Rising OM, oil tankers, Magic Sky, to unload cars, Nipha Naree, to offload fertiliser, Bunga Delima and Kota Tabah to unload and load containers.
Seven ships, Sinar Bontang, Corin Thaikos, Maersk Alabama, Oriental Bouget, Jo Selji and Eastern Princess departed on Monday, while Patria, Warbah, Kota Tabah, Rising OM, Ceupso-N, Swat, Dong He and Fotini are due to sail out on Tuesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.122m tons comprising 33,303 tons of export cargo including 15,131 tons of rice and 88,630 tons of import cargo was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Oak Glaxy, with 11,700 tons of palm oil, Wappen Von Leipzig, with 6,500 tons of tallow, Mol Kanri, Conti Esperance, APL Osaka and Emerald Sea, with containers.
