Margalla festival cricket

ISLAMABAD, April 16: Ghouri Club have been drawn to play King's Gymkhana in the opening match of the CDA-ICA Margalla festival cricket championship.

The inaugural match will be played on Monday and a total of nine games are to be contested in the first week.

The championship is organised jointly by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Islamabad Cricket Association and will be played on a knock-out format.

There are a total of 36 teams taking part in the event which have been divided into four pools.

Schedule of matches:

April 17: King's Gymkhana v Ghouri at Diamond Ground.

April 18 Islamabad Greeners v Essco at Marghazar.

April 19 National v Lucky Star at XI Star.

April 20 Model Town v CRA at CRA Ground.

April 21 Islamabad Hawks v Muslim at CRA.

April 22 QACC v Majid Memorial at CRA Ground.

April 23 P&T v Lashings at XI Star.

April 23 Azam v Rawal Town at CRA; Mehran v Margalla at Punjab Ground.
