MARDAN, April 16: Three girls and four boys were killed while two girls and a boy were injured when the wall of a sugar-cane crushing mill collapsed in Shergarh, 35 km from here, on Sunday.

The children, aged between three and 13 years, were playing in the shadow of the mill’s wall when it came tumbling down, burying all of them. Five children died on the spot while five were injured. Two of the injured died a couple of hours later.

The victims have been identified as Rukhsana, 12; Asma, 6; Saira, 4; Ejaz, 6, Sanaullah, 6; Attaullah, 3, and Ziad, 3.

The injured have been identified as Nosheen, 13; Zainab, 11; and Aizaz, 3.
