SUKKUR, April 15: Terming the Nishtar Park bomb blast a conspiracy, the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F, Sindh chapter, has put the responsibility on the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and demanded removal of the Sindh governor and the chief minister.

Addressing a Seerat-un-Nabi Conference, held at the Teer Chowk here, Senator Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro, General Secretary of the JUI-F, Sindh, strongly criticized the government and added that the country’s integrity was put at stake due to wrong policies of the government as the terrorists were roaming freely while life and property of the people were insecure. Expressing his sorrow, he said that dozens of ulema were gunned down and not a single killer could be arrested.

He said that the recent incident was the worst of its kind, adding that the government had lost its writ and had no right to remain in power.

He said the government functionaries were trying to divert the direction of the investigation by terming the incident a suicide bombing.

He said that during Muharram a bomb blast took place in Hangu and now in the sacred month of Rabi-ul-Awwal a religious gathering was targeted, which was highly condemnable.

He pledged that the MMA would unveil the real faces of culprits and appealed to people to join hands with ulema to save the country from disaster.

MMA leaders, including Maulana Mohammad Murad Halejvi and Maulana Abdul Haq Mahar spoke on the occasion.
