KANDAHAR, April 14: A Taliban suicide car bomb wounded three coalition soldiers and an Afghan guard on Friday, while three policemen were killed in another Taliban bombing, officials said.
Coalition helicopters were meanwhile called in to support Afghan security forces in a fierce battle with suspected Taliban in an area around a village that was once home to Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar.
The suicide attacker exploded a car bomb outside a base of British and US troops in Lashkar Gah, a spokesman said.
