Demo against Karachi killings

Published April 14, 2006

LAHORE, April 13: The Islami Jamiat Tulba held a demonstration outside the Lahore Press Club on Thursday to condemn the Karachi blast. Holding placards and banners, they chanted slogans against the government for its failure to maintain law and order.

IJT office-bearers said the government should not see Feb 14 riots and April 11 incident in isolation and launch a thorough probe into them. The government should take all religious factions into confidence in this regard. —Staff Reporter
