Moussaoui slams attorneys

Published April 14, 2006

ALEXANDRIA (US), April 13: Al Qaeda conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui lashed out at his own defence team on Thursday as he began testifying before a jury that will decide whether he should be put to death.

Moussaoui said at the beginning of his remarks that he had given his attorneys a list of questions to which he was prepared to respond.

He then quickly accused his lawyers of ‘criminal non-assistance’ and failing to secure a venue change for the trial away from an area so deeply affected by the September 11, 2001 attacks.—AFP
