KRC institute ‘Horse of the Year’ award
KARACHI, April 10: The Karachi Race Club (KRC) has instituted ‘Horse of the Year’ award which carries lucrative stake money besides a glittering cup.
“The award which envisaged featuring in three cups will be given to whosoever earn highest points at the end of this month,” Syed Ali Akbar Shah Rashdi, deputy secretary of KRC, told Dawn on Monday.
Four-year-old Victory Road sprinted to victory in the first race- Sprinter’s Cup- held on April 2. Mare, Bang On Target, finished second while chestnut colt, King Of Kings, was placed third. Fantasia completed the frame.
The second cup will be held on April 16 while the third takes place on April 30.
According to an announcement, the winner of every cup will secure five points, followed by three to runners-up, two for the third place and one for fourth position.
