Green cards for Sharif loyalists

Published April 10, 2006

LAHORE, April 9: The PML-N would complete its organisational work in Lahore in about a month, party leaders said at a news conference here on Sunday. They said at least six primary units would be set up in every union council, and those playing a role in the struggle against dictatorship would be issued green cards signed by Nawaz Sharif.

The news conference was addressed by Lahore president Mian Marghoob and secretary-general Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman. Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq, Khwaja Hassaan, Naseer Bhutta, Gulrez Mirza, Dr Asad Ashraf, Mehr Ishtiaq and Ajasam Sharif were also present.

Mian Marghoob said those who stood by Mr Sharif in the difficult times would be given various offices according to their eligibility and sacrifices. No turncoat would be accepted back in the party.—Staff Reporter
