Shabana to meet Nicol in final


KARACHI, April 8: Egypt's new world number one Amr Shabana will meet fellow left-hander Peter Nicol, the world No. 6 from England, in the final of the Virtual Spectator Bermuda PSA Masters, after the dismissal of two Frenchmen in the semifinals of the PSA Super Series Platinum event in Hamilton on Saturday.

In the first semifinal, top seed Shabana dropped a set before overcoming former world number 1 Thierry Lincou 7-11, 11-8, 11-6, 11-9 in a 77-minute contest to sail into the final.

Peter Nicol who was in fine nick crushed Gregory Gaultier 11-5, 11-8, 11-5 in straight sets in the other semifinal to set final date with the Egyptian.
