KARACHI, April 8: Shipping activity remained brisk at the port where three ships scheduled to load and offload containers and diesel were berthed at QICT and FOTCO oil terminal during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday. Six ships — Al-Isha’a, Wester Moor, Amnok Gang, Holly Galaxy, Al-Maqwa and Qin Hai — are currently at the port to load and offload containers, rice, chemicals, diesel and seeds.

A cargo volume of 94,816 tons comprising 78,192 tons of imports and 16,624 tons of exports was handled during the last 24 hours.

Three ships — Al-Isha’a, Wester Moor and Holly Galaxy -– sailed out. The following ships are currently at the outer anchorage: Nedllyd Muscat, Saudi Abha, Iran Borhan, Pleione, Anette Kosan and Pantanassa.
