Hasan named Pakistan A skipper

LAHORE, April 7: Middle-order batsman Hasan Raza was named captain of a 14-member Pakistan 'A' team which will take part in the Euro-Asia Trophy cricket series to be held in Abu Dhabi from April 22 to May 5.

Besides Pakistan, India 'A' and Sri Lanka 'A', national teams of Ireland, Holland and UAE will also participate in the series.

The team will leave for Abu Dhabi on April 23.

Test discarded batsmen Yasir Hameed, Taufiq Umar, Mohammad Hafeez, Bazid Khan, Misbah ul Haq and Hasan were included in the team.

Mohammad Irshad, Umer Gul, Yasir Arafat and Sami Ullah Niazi are four pacemen.

Off-spinner Tahir Khan and leg-spinner Mansoor Amjad are also included with wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider.
