Nine killed as pick-up falls into ravine


KURRAM AGENCY, April 6: At least nine people were killed and seven others injured when a speeding pickup van plunged into a deep ravine in Kurram Agency, one of seven federally-administered tribal areas on Thursday.

According to details, the driver of a Charsadda-bound pickup coming from Bara lost control over the vehicle and drove it into a deep ditch. Nine passengers died on the spot. Seven others were rushed to hospital in a critical condition. —Online
