ISLAMABAD, April 6: President of Yemen Ali Abdullah Saleh arrives on a two-day visit to Pakistan on April 10 on the second leg of his two-nation tour which will also take him to China.
It will be his first visit to Pakistan after the unification of the two divided states of Northern and Southern Yemen in 1990.
Ali Abdullah Saleh last visited Pakistan in 1987 as the President of Northern Yemen.
During his stay here, he will hold formal talks with President Pervez Musharraf covering an entire gamut of international, regional and bilateral issues.
Briefing newsmen on the upcoming visit, Ambassador of Yemen in Pakistan Abdul Elah Hajar said Mr Saleh will be coming to Pakistan on April 10 with a large delegation comprising some 10 ministers.
He said some important agreements, especially in the field of education, export promotion, tourism and cooperation in media, will be signed between the two countries during the visit.
He said a separate business delegation will also be shortly visiting Pakistan with a view to enhancing the volume of trade between the two countries. The current volume of trade between Pakistan and Yemen is $50 million.
