BEIJING, April 6: The World Bank will loan $100 million to the northeast Chinese province of Heilongjiang to develop its dairy industry, Chinese state media said Thursday.
With international aid, we expect to open up seven farms with about 1,000 dairy cows each, and another 125 farms with a breeding capacity of about 500 milk cows by 2011, Wang Desheng, a Heilongjiang official, told Xinhua news agency.—AFP
