Fahim replaces Rehmat

ISLAMABAD, April 4: Pakistan Squash Federation has appointed Fahim Gul as the new national coach for three months and will also have a new secretary within a couple of months. Fahim will take over as the national coach in place of national coach Rehmat Khan and director coaching Jamshed Gul.

Rehmat resigned while Jamshed's contract was not renewed.

Sqd Ldr Zahid Qureshi will act forthwith as assistant secretary and will assume charge as PSF secretary when the incumbent Secretary Wing Commander Zulfiqar Ahmed transfers to a command post.

Fahim will train national players Majid Khan, Yasir Butt, Basit Ashfaq, Aamir Atlas and Farhan Mehboob. His performance will be judged after three months.

Fahim will also work on a strategy to train players who will defend the world junior title in New Zealand in July this year.

Former British Open champion Qamar Zaman, PSF Vice President, will train top players Shahid Zaman and Mansoor Zaman while Ayaz Khan will look after the junior coaching programme.—APP
