ISLAMABAD, April 2: National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) says it is providing quick, authentic and foolproof personality verifications through its online systems enabling banks and other authorities to facilitate citizens in their day-to-day dealings.

According to a statement issued here on Sunday, the growing security concerns both in the financial and other sectors demand a nationwide network of foolproof authentication systems to segregate genuine citizens’ record from fakes and frauds.

Keeping in view the scenario, Nadra has established systems “Verisys” and “Biosys” to ensure safe and transparent commercial activities.

More than 80 organizations, particularly financial institutions have acquired Nadra’s Verisys/Biosys systems to authenticate their clients through the national database. So far more than 2 million verifications have been made using these systems.

Through these systems the banks would be able to authenticate the account holders or applicants.

The SBP governor had asked Nadra to ensure uninterrupted accessibility to information through these systems, as the banks would be interested in timely availability of the required data.
