Ties with China lauded

ISLAMABAD, April 2: Pakistan-China friendship extends much beyond defence collaborations and both the countries enjoy a mutual bonding to reach out for each other’s help in the hour of need. This was said by Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Afzal Tahir upon receipt of letter of thanks from Chinese maritime sector on Sunday.

The Nanjing Ocean Shipping Company of China has communicated gratitude for prompt rescue operation on Feb 20 undertaken by the Pakistan Navy to evacuate an injured Chinese from a ship operating in maritime zone off Ormara.—APP
