GILGIT, April 2: The government has chalked out a plan to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Northern Areas and decided to set up a museum in the region, said a spokesman for the Municipal Committee Gilgit. The spokesman said the committee was preparing a summary for setting up the museum in Gilgit and it would be presented to the authorities concerned for approval, he explained.
The antiques and rich cultural heritage of the Northern Areas would be preserved in the museum, he said.—APP
