KARACHI, April 1: Projects costing over Rs1 billion are under way in Liaquatabad Town, while around Rs250 million worth of schemes are in the pipeline, the town’s Nazim, Osama Qadri, said.

Talking to various delegations, which called on him at his office on Saturday, he said provision of basic amenities to people was among the top priorities of the town administration.

Meanwhile, the Site Town has announced to start a two-day anti-stray dog campaign in the town from on April 4.

In Malir, a Mehfil-i-Miladun Nabi was organized by the Malir Town administration at RCD Ground.

The nazim of Malir Town said that the month of Rabiul Awwal gives us a message to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Maulana Abdul Wahab Qadri, Nasim Ghazi, Aijaz Rahmani and others spoke on the occasion.—PPI
