Mr Aziz exchanged views with the president on issues likely to come up during his forthcoming visit to the United Nations, United States and Spain.
President Musharraf said that no country should be allowed to establish monopoly on the UN Security Council in the name of the body’s expansion.
Expressing satisfaction over the country’s economic growth, they said that further steps would be taken to alleviate poverty.
They reaffirmed that the ongoing crackdown on terrorists in Waziristan and Balochistan would continue.
