Skiing: Iranian imparts training


ISLAMABAD, March 31: A coach from Iran, appointed by International Olympic Committee (IOC), conducted a two-month training camp at Naltar. Behram Savehshemshaki of Iran ran the three-phase camp from Feb 2 to March 31.

In the three stages, he imparted refresher training to local ski coaches, looked after coaching camp of national ski team and finally coached young skiers in the new field of “Snow Boarding.”

The ladies from various ski associations participated in the coaching camp for the first time.

Three ladies — Adeeba Junaidi from Sindh, Flt. Lt. Nadia Hassan Flt. Lt. Farhana Munir, both from Pakistan Air Force, are currently in Iran to participate in the FIS Ski Competition.—APP
