Ex-MNA’s death condoled


ISLAMABAD, March 31: Pakistan People’s Party Chairperson Benazir Bhutto has condoled the death of former MNA and NWFP minister Syed Zafar Ali Shah. Syed Zafar Ali Shah, father of Zahir Shah, a PPP MPA from Peshawar, died Thursday evening after protracted illness and was buried in his ancestral graveyard on Friday.

In her condolence message, the PPP chairperson said Syed Zafar Ali Shah was a multi-dimensional personality who combined in his person the roles of a decent politician, a successful businessman, a great philanthropist, a dedicated social worker and above all a champion of religious and sectarian harmony.— Our Reporter
