Inauguration of project welcomed

ISLAMABAD, March 31: Minister for Social Welfare and Special Education Zobaida Jalal has said that inauguration of the Gwadar gas pipeline pilot project is manifestation of the government’s resolve to alleviate poverty and increase job opportunities to better the lot of the people of Balochistan.

She said in a statement that mega-projects, including Gwadar port, Coastal Highway, Mirani dam, Subakzai dam and Kacchi canal and initiatives being taken in the fields of education, social development and rehabilitation of the poor would usher in an era of prosperity in the province.

She said that the people of Balochistan were patriotic and they had always rejected the elements which hindered development and wanted to create chaos and anarchy in the province.
