ISTANBUL, March 31: The Turkish economy grew much faster than expected in 2005, official data showed on Friday, with growth accelerating to 10.2 per cent in the last quarter fuelled by robust consumer demand. The Turkey Statistics Institute said gross national product (GNP) jumped 7.6 per cent in the year as a whole, compared with a median forecast in a Reuters poll of 5.8 per cent.—Reuters
