Irfan hits century

KARACHI, March 27: Skipper Irfan Ansari blasted superb century as Govt. Islamia Arts & Commerce College (GIACC) overwhelmed DHA College by 85 runs in Inter-collegiate cricket tournament on Monday at Public School Ground.

Irfan struck seven fours and two sixes in his unbeaten 118 as GIACC posted a total of 243-6 in stipulated 40 overs while batting first. Besides, Hafeez Saeed (40) and Zohaib (25) made useful contribution.

Defending the target, GIACC restricted DHA to just 158 in 34.2 overs to seal victory with spinners Omer and Zeeshan grabbing four and three wickets. Musheen (38) was the top scorer for the losers.—PPI
