Scientists, engineers decorated

ISLAMABAD, March 27: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Ehsan Ul Haq decorated on behalf of President Pervez Musharraf 19 scientists and engineers working in Nescom, Paec, KRL and Suparco with civil awards for their meritorious services, at a ceremony held at the National Defence College on Monday.

Those who received Sitara-i-Imtiaz are Mr Muhammad Naeem, Dr Abdul Waheed, Dr Arshad Munir, Engineer Jawaid Tariq, Mr Muhammad Tahir, Dr Muhammad Riaz Suddle and Mr Muhammad Mansoor.

Recipients of the President’s Pride of Performance Award are Dr Muhammad Tufail, Mr Zaheeruddin Gohar, Mr Muhammad Aslam, Mr Muhammad Arshad, Mr Sohailur Rehman, Mr Azhar Munir, Mr Rehan Majid, Mr Naveedur Rehman, Mr Naeemullah Dar, Mr Mahmood Ali Ahmed and Mr Muhammad Amin Sabir. Mr Abu Bakar Nisar Alvi received Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.
