Fitness worry for Sehwag

NEW DELHI, March 25: India opening batsman Virender Sehwag faces a fitness test before the first One-day International against England on Tuesday, an Indian board official said on Saturday.

The attacking Delhi player suffered back spasms during the third and final Test in Mumbai, which England won by 212 runs on Wednesday to square the three-match series.

“He will be assessed in the nets tomorrow before we know whether he will be available for the game,” Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Niranjan Shah said.

A shoulder injury sidelined Sehwag during the 4-1 one-day series victory in Pakistan last month.
