Blind Cricket: Lahore beat Islamabad


ISLAMABAD, March 23: Lahore beat Islamabad by seven wickets to win the title of National Cricket Championship for the Blind at F-9 (Fatima Jinnah) Park on Thursday. Batting first, Islamabad accumulated 293 for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 30 overs.

Muzaffar Ali led the way with his magnificent 167. He received splendid support from Sultan Shah who chipped in with 46.

Mohammad Shahbaz was Lahore’s best bowler and captured two wickets.

In reply, Lahore reached the victory target in the 24th over for the loss three wickets.

Superb centuries by Fayyaz Ahmad (112) and Arshad (102) laid the foundation of Lahore’s comfortable victory.

Sultan Shah was the pick of Islamabad bowlers as he claimed two wickets.—APP
