ISLAMABAD, March 17: Asif Zakir struck an unbeaten half century as Karachi Dolphins scored a crushing nine-wicket victory against Hyderabad Hawks in a low-scoring match of the National Regional One-day Silver League cricket tournament on Friday.
Asked to bat first at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the Hawks were bundled out for only 129 in the 40th over, paceman Mohammad Hasnain and Atif Maqbool sharing six wickets. Zafar Ali was the top scorer with 38.
The Dolphins were home in 33 overs losing only one wicket on the way. Opener Asif cracked 10 fours in an innings of 73 not out off 103 balls. Also remaining undefeated was Mansoor Baig on 29.
