Robbers strike 16 times, injure guard in Lahore

LAHORE, March 15: Robbers on Wednesday struck 16 times in various parts of the city and shot at and wounded a security guard. Two gunmen attempted to break into a factory in Shafiqabad and opened fire when guard Akram put up resistance. The guard got a bullet injury. The miscreants managed their escape. The injured man was admitted to the Mayo Hospital. His condition was stated to be critical.

Four dacoits held up Jamshaid Ahmad and his family in Khyber Block of Allama Iqbal Town and snatched cash, gold and two cell phones worth Rs65,000.

Four more armed men stormed into the house of Iqbal Saeed in City Raiwind and made off with cash, gold jewellery and valuables worth Rs100,000.

Two robbers took away Rs150,000 and a motorcycle from Nadeem in Badami Bagh. Two more gangsters held up Rizwan in Shahdara and took away Rs22,000, a cell phone and his motorcycle.

Yet two robbers snatched cash and a cell phone from a man at Shamnagar in the Lytton Road police area.

Three miscreants stormed into the office of a cell phone company on Wahdat Road and snatched Rs1 million from cashier Aftab.

Three bandits barged into the house of Waris Ali in Shadbagh and took away cash and valuables worth Rs80,000.

Two robbers deprived Mirza Salim of cash and a cell phone worth Rs85,000 in Mughalpura.

Three miscreants deprived Ms Humaira of cash and gold jewellery worth Rs50,000 at Madina Market in Sabzazar.

PTCL employee Altaf Khan and his family members were held hostage by two gunmen who made off with cash and gold worth Rs100,000 in Garden Town.

A cell phone was snatched from Intizar by two robbers in Samanabad.

Three vehicles were stolen from Allama Iqbal Town, Model Town and Liaqatabad.
