Practice session abandoned

LAHORE, March 14: Heavy rain forced to abandon the afternoon training session of the Davis Cup’s camp at the Bagh-i-Jinnah courts on Tuesday. The probables did training in the morning but heavy rains in the afternoon turned the courts in pool of water denying any practice.

The camp would be suffered for one or two days and if there will be more rain, the training could be suffered more. The camp was set up to prepare Pakistan team for the Davis Cup Group-I tie against India to be held in Mumbai from April 7 to 9. Meanwhile, except top seed Aisamul Haq all probables have reported to the camp. Aisam is likely to join the camp on March 27.

Those who have reported are Aqeel Khan, Aasim Shafik, Jalil Khan, three juniors Tanvir Aashiq, Omar Babar, Khurram Nazir and Usman Ijaz.
