Visa desks set up for businessmen

ISLAMABAD, March 14: The interior ministry has set up desks at all major airports for issuance of visas to businessmen upon their arrival in the country. According to a statement issued by the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports of the ministry, at these desks, visa would be issued to businessmen and investors visiting from Britain, US, Italy, Germany, Australia, Brazil, France, Switzerland, Sweden, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Canada, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark, Ireland, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Finland and Turkey.

The 30-day non-reporting visa could be obtained on production of either a letter from the chamber of commerce and industry of the respective country, or an invitation letter from business organizations recommended by the concerned trade organization/association in Pakistan, or a letter by investor consular of the Board of Investment posted at Pakistani missions abroad.
