LAHORE, March 9: The FIA has seized spurious and unregistered drugs, a majority of them aphrodisiacs, worth Rs10 million. FIA director Chaudhry Manzoor told newsmen on Thursday its teams raided four drug stores of a cosmetics company — Bio Amla — in Allama Iqbal Town, Bilal Ganj, Riwaz Garden and Mustafa Town and seized spurious and unregistered drugs.

The agency arrested a son of the company’s owner Saqlain Zia and two employees, Khurram and Alam.

The director said the information gleaned from the accused about the medical stores where they had marketed the drugs would also be raided.

Meanwhile, the company claimed in a statement that the drugs in question had not been recovered from its stores.

SHOT DEAD: A proclaimed offender was shot dead in Mustafabad over an old enmity on Thursday.

Police said Anwar Khan, 30, had a rivalry with Arif of his locality as the former allegedly had killed a relative of the latter.

On Thursday, Arif along with three accomplices shot Anwar dead.

FOUND DEAD: A nine-year-old boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Hadiara.

Sohail’s body, found near a drain, bore no injury mark.
