Food poisoning toll rises

FAISALABAD, March 9: Shameem Akhtar, who was hospitalised due to food poisoning, breathed her last on Thursday. The doctors tried their best to save the life of Shameem, the mother of six, but failed to do so. However, the condition of her five children was stated to be out of danger.

Shameem Akhtar and her children — Maryam, 3, Mehwish, 10, Wajeeha, 4, Hina, 8, Huma, 12, and Zohaib Ahmad, 5, were hospitalised due to food poisoning on Wednesday. Maryam breathed her last the same day.
