Saeed causes biggest upset


KARACHI, March 3: Unfancied Saeed Khan produced the biggest shock in the 14th Sindh Cup snooker by beating top seed Irfan Rasheed Khan in straight frames on Thursday.

Irfan, who won his opening two matches after a tough fight faltered while Saeed showed perfect cue control to outplay Irfan.

Vishan Gir carved out a brilliant break of 88 in the third frame while crushing Ghulam Mustufa 3-0.

Kamran Razzaq displayed fighting qualities when he came from two frames down to overpower Aamir Samdani after an exciting encounter.

Shadab Baig compiled a fine break of 87 in straight win against Furqan Hussain.

The 16-year-old Raja Ilyas surprised Waqas Malik 3-0.
