HARARE, March 3: A battling 72 from opener Piet Rinke helped Zimbabwe to beat Kenya by 109 runs on Friday and level their five-match one-day series 2-2.
Zimbabwe, currently suspended from all Test cricket and having to struggle on with one-dayers, made 231 for 9 in a game reduced to 44-overs-a-side by heavy overnight rain.
The home side’s total proved more than enough as Kenya were bowled out for 122, with Ryan Higgins grabbing 4 for 21.
Only opener Kennedy Otieno showed any resistance for Kenya as he hit 69.
The fifth and final match takes place here on Saturday.
