HYDERABAD, March 3: Jamshoro District Nazim Malik Asad Sikandar through a notification issued under section 144 CrPC on Friday banned any construction in five union councils to check encroachments on government lands.
He directed officials of the district government to launch an operation from March 7 to throw out the encroachers from the government lands.
The union councils include Khuda Ki Basti, Bolhari, Sindh University, Morho Jabal and UC Allah Bachayo Shoro.
The DCO and officials of the revenue department will get the government land vacated from the encroachers with police assistance.
Presiding over a meeting of the district officials, Malik Asad Sikandar said that operation was being launched following numerous complaints from the people that some unscrupulous land grabbers had occupied government lands valued at tens of millions of rupees in Deh Soon Walhar.
He said no person would be allowed to raise any construction without the permission of the district government.
He said that before removing encroachments, allotment orders and registration of documents if any should be thoroughly scrutinized and no excesses should be committed with any person.
The district nazim handed over two ambulances to the taluka hospitals Manjhand and Bhan Syedabad from the district government funds.
Handing over keys of ambulances to the medical superintendent of taluka hospitals, Malik Asad Sikandar said that the ambulances were meant for the poor people who were living in remote areas.
He said that the district would ensure the presence of the doctors and supply of medicines at all the government hospitals and health centres.
